Model the Way – Virtual Learning --
Seems many students will be experiencing virtual learning over the next few weeks. As parents/leaders it’s good to “model the way” – joining them in some virtual learning yourself. Sit with them while they are going through their lessons and pick up some lessons/ideas yourself. Published just last week, the timing of retired Navy SEAL Team commander Mark Devine’s latest book Staring Down the Wolf* couldn’t be better. One key objective of the book: how to “develop emotional control to remain calm, cool, and collected – regardless of what’s going on around you.” We could all use a dose of that right now! When you download a copy to read this weekend, go right to page 9 and see which “plateau” you’re on in your growth/development – it’s an eye-opener based on Ken Wilbur’s work.
Fear: Failure Expected. Are You Ready? – Commit to Courage
This is the title of Mark’s first chapter in his book. He goes on to detail 7 commitments leaders make starting with “Commit to Courage.” I know many of your businesses are being adversely impacted by the reaction to this virus. Please take an hour this weekend and devour Mark’s book for both its inspiration and tools for remaining calm under fire (hey, most of us don’t have bullets whizzing by our heads though it can feel like that) Your team needs this from you – and a plan for moving forward.
In Crisis, Focus on Sales --
83% of elite salespeople (the top 5%) have written personal goals while only 44% of weak salespeople (the bottom 50%) have written personal goals. That's an 89% difference! 76% of elite salespeople have a plan for reaching their goals while only 25% of weak salespeople have a plan for reaching their personal goals. That's a 304% difference!
Make a Plan, Goal-Oriented Salespeople Succeed --
